Gateshead was the destination for the Lions Junior stars this week, fresh on the bounce of a thrilling win at home to North Shields Storm. Lions travelled with a strong squad and for the first time were entering a game where Lions were the slight favourites, as the Hawks remain rooted to the bottom of the league with no wins. Despite this, Lions coach; James Thomson knows nothing can be taken for granted at National level and Hawks would be looking at this game as an opportunity to gain 3pts.

Middlesbrough Lions got their first win on the National Basketball scene in a blazing fashion with an awe inspiring first half performance which reduced the American visitors to at times bystanders.

Middlesbrough Lions U15's beat North Shields Storm in a thrilling encounter to provide the youngsters with their first win of the season. North Shields Storm were the visitors to Eston Sports Academy for Lions first home game in the Junior National League. The Storm came to Middlesbrough on the back of some heavy defeats, although a win over local rivals Gateshead Hawks gave them a timely boost ahead of this fixture.
