VICTOR Mancini is a man with a problem. He's a sex addict and, despite going to regular meetings of Sexaholics Anonymous or whatever they call it, he keeps falling off the wagon and into the bed of willing women.
He's at the centre of this adaptation of Chuck (Fight Club) Palahuniuk's book that thinks it's a lot more daring than it actually is.
Sam Rockwell is Victor, who inbetween bedding the ladies stages fake choking fits in restaurants (works wonders at not having to pay the bill) and interrogating his senile mother (Anjelica Huston) about the identity of his father.
The arrival in his life of a doctor (Kelly Macdonald) willing to play along with his weird sex games gives him cause to reconsider his wicked, wicked ways. Writerdirector Clark Gregg, aided by Rockwell's ready, will and able seducer, extracts some dirty fun from the situation but it all adds up to much ado about nothing.
